PD Avengers
Story
PD Avenger team pilot, Geoff Constable has been living with Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease for nearly 15 years ………… Yes, there are different forms of Parkinson’s Disease. Unfortunately, most people only associate Parkinson’s Disease with the elderly so the understanding and acceptance of its impact on younger people (20 to 50 years old) means a battle for finding education and support programs.
“Putting your underwear on with Parkinson’s Disease is often difficult. Putting underwear on over your clothes is near impossible. And that’s just the start of your day when you are a PD Avenger.” (a quote from my mate Larry Gifford)
Parkinson’s Disease has been around for over 200 years and still very little is known about how you actually get Parkinson's, there is no cure, its symptoms are degenerative and progressive with new symptoms presenting over time. Parkinson’s is also a friendly disease that likes to open pathways for other disease and conditions.
We are making a difference by fundraising for a cause that's close to our hearts. Please support our efforts by making a secure online donation and by posting a message of support.
The funds we raise will go towards much needed support programs not just for young people living with Parkinson’s but also support for their family and carers.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to Fight Parkinson's (formally Parkinson's Victoria).
Thanks so much for your support!
